| The WDM8000 is a flexible wireless data modem based on the latest technology, this makes it possible to transmit data at a rate of 19.200 bps.on an ordinary 25 kHz voice channel. The high data speed is obtained by the use of four level FSK (19.200) or GMSK (9.600)modulation when transmitting. The modem is available for use within the frequency bands 68 to 88 Mhz, 136 to 174 MHz, 335 to 405 MHz and 400 to 470 Mhz. Installing the WDM 8000 is very simpel as the enclosure is designed for mounting on a standard DIN rail. Optionally the modem could be mounted directly on a flat surface by using the inbuilt fastening points. With the flexible mounting the WDM 8000 can be used in both fixed and mobile installations The data radio is built into a robust metal housing, which can be mounted on a DIN rail or on a plane surface by using brackets forming a part of the cabinet. The SMA connector of WDM 8000 gives the option to mount the antenna either directly on the modem or with an external antenna. Programming of parameters such as configuration of the data interface, radio frequencies, power output (up to 5 W atts), etc. is performed by using a standard PC, through the built-in RS232 interface and dedicated software. The WDM8000 series fulfils the European standards for data communication products and is manufactured and tested using the latest technology in order to achieve the optimum quality For mobile users the design of the WDM8000 makes it possible to implement an internal GPS receiver in connection with systems in which such facilities could be appropiate |
